The Goblin was originally born 13 years ago with a different blade shape. The Goblin never really went anywhere because i was not happy with it but it got a rebirth after a conversation with Kansept where I sat down and came up with the new blade design and evolved the handle into a frame lock instead of a liner lock.
I'm very happy with the current design of the Goblin folder."
The Goblin XL is, in comparison to a small Goblin, a beast of a knife. With a 3.5 inch S35VN blade it's not a slim EDC carry 3.5 inches. It's a ''cleave a tomato in one stroke'' sized blade.
Anyone who has seen the Lord of the Rings movies will have seen the small Goblins versus the huge Uruk Hai soldiers. That's the same comparison to make between the regular Goblin and the Goblin XL.
If you want something different in a big size for your collection, the Goblin XL fits that role perfectly. Or if you want a big folder for kitchen duties at home, out camping or fishing etc the Goblin XL also happily fills those roles too.
