Liong Mah L1 - S90V BLADE - INTEGRAL HANDLE

The L1 – Lanny One design is a marrying of the best aspects to come from both traditional slip joints and modern materials. This Modern/Traditional blend features superior toughness and sharp cutting edge qualities associated with Damascus steel blades.

The knife’s Titanium handle has been milled from a block made up entirely of 6AL4V titanium for its lightweight strength and resistance to wear over time. The handle is intricately inlaid with Carbon Fiber offering an alluring finish to this functional work of art.

When designing the L1 – Lanny One, I wanted to create a blade that included everything I thought was most important in a knife.

First of all, it had to have a strong and edge retaining steel – I chose Crucible S90V steel. Second, it needed to be lightweight – so I worked with Titanium. Finally, it had to look great and feel even better in the hand so I chose various carbon fibers and for the titanium model added extra texturing.

 Flipper action, ceramic ball bearings.

    Thanks everyone for your reviews on one of Liong's best knives ever and for the kind words about myself.

    The Winter Storm and Damasteel combination was apparently an error by Reate and Liong allowed us to get all five for Australia. It's not often that happens.

    But all the models are rare - especially the Damasteel ones - so if you managed to get one you are very lucky.

    I've said on Facebook the L1 was the best knife of 2021 and I still stand by that.

    Everything is perfection on this knife.
    I was able to buy one of the Winter Storm and Damasteel models which apparently were an error by Reate according to the owner at True Talon - I noticed they were mislabeled too.
    This knife is one you'll be kicking yourself that you missed it's just so good.

    Perfection

    I was fortunate enough to be able to get an L1 in the Purple Haze Fat Carbon scales. The quality of the materials, fit and finish is truly first rate. The detent alone is perfection.
    Yes, this is an expensive knife, but if you can still obtain one and you’re sitting on the fence, jump in. You won’t regret it - the quality is all there in your hand and will pass muster with even the closest examination.
