The Shuriken

This would have to be one of the best value M390 knives on the market today.

Is it really Bohler M390 Steel?

Customers had doubts a tactical knife this low in cost was actually Bohler M390. So we contacted Bohler (Australia) and they recommended we have the knife tested by a NATA Certified testing laboratory that they use.

We had a blade tested using an Argon Gas Spectrometer. Guess what - testing concluded these do indeed have authentic Bohler M390 steel blades. The steel is supplied from the Bohler plate mill in Blech Austria as confirmed to us by the Technical Manager at Bohler Australia. We also confirmed the Rockwell hardness. (the Spectrometer testing results are posted below along with the email from Bohler Australia)

Our own testing on free hanging "Grunt" brand 1800 kilo rated rope, confirms this knife will cut it with one slice - typical of an M390 blade.

The fit and finish is very good. Flipping action is as good as knives twice it's price. Plus it has textured carbon fiber inlays for a really good grip. Features a titanium back spacer and titanium pocket clip.

All blades are serial numbered and the knife comes with a nylon storage pouch.

Your choice of grey or blue (blue is very limited - only 35 were produced)

flipper action, ceramic bearings.

Great knife

The other reviewers said pretty much what I have to say! I have some very nice M 390 blades but this knife will now become my EDC

Fuck - It's Almost Perfect !!

Whoever reads this - fucking buy this knife while it's on sale.

I can't believe how good this knife is for $150. As good or better than my more expensive ZT and Emerson knives. Leaves Cold Steel and some other brands for dead. Not that they are bad - just this one is better.

M390 blade, fantastic action and titanium handle. I did get a random serial number but I always get shitty odd serial numbers. But that doesn't detract from the knife.

You'll be sorry if you miss out on this knife. Shit - I'm going to order another one at this price.

Fantastic Knife

I can't really say much more than the first reviewer who covered all the main points. I purchased this knife because I liked the design and the materials ticked all the boxes. Buying knives by mail order can be a bit of a gamble.

However the Shuriken was a very nice surprise. The action is amazing and to find a knife with an M390 blade and carbon fiber at this price is pretty well impossible.

One thing I really liked was how the carbon fiber is grooved and gives extra grip to the knife. It's not there just for show.

If you are looking for a great knife at a bargain price then get a Shuriken.

budget excellence

The Shuriken is a fantastic knife for the money, fires as good as the smoothest flippers I own (ZT's, RSK "S" class) and has all the features I look for in a folder, including certified M390 blade steel. I find the mottled blue/purple (the model I bought) anodizing very appealing, which adds a lot of pop, and the textured carbon fiber adds a lot of traction. If you are looking for a 'budget' authentic M390/ano Ti/cf flipper that fires exceptionally well at a very reasonable price the Shuriken fits the bill perfectly.
